Brent Lodge is a wildlife hospital near Chichester in West Sussex. Each year the hospital treats approximately 3,000 sick, injured, or orphaned wild birds, hedgehogs, deer, badgers, foxes, etc. Brent Lodge also provides help via telephone and the internet, and works to educate the public about wildlife care.

Butterfly Conservation was formed by a small group of dedicated naturalists in 1968 following the alarming decline of many beautiful butterflies. The charity is also committed to the conservation of moths, which are close relatives of butterflies and are in rapid decline. Butterfly Conservation operate 33 nature reserves and we are involved in 67 landscape-scale projects to conserve habitats.

The Winchester Dramatic Society has been performing plays in Winchester for over 100 years. Since 1966 WDS have been based at the Chesil Theatre - a former 12th century church in Chesil Street. They provide high quality amateur drama for the people of Winchester and the surrounding area with around 250 Chesil members, including two thriving youth groups.

CHICKS aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with the life enhancing experience of a free respite break away in the countryside at one of their centres in Devon or Cornwall. CHICKS helps children from a variety of different backgrounds, just a few examples are children growing up in poverty, children of prisoners, and children who have been abused, either physically, emotionally or sexually. CHICKS also provides breaks for young carers.

The Trust, which was formed 41 years ago, is an entirely voluntary organisation and relies on the energy and determination of the Committee and Trustees. Run from the Weald of Kent, the Trust gives grants to people all over the United Kingdom in order that they may continue to garden, despite advancing illness, age or disability.  Money is given to successful grant applicants and often transforms the recipient as well as the garden, replacing a source of frustration by a valuable therapy and sense of satisfaction.

The Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology promotes interest, research and knowledge of maritime archaeology and heritage. The Trust runs a programme of research led fieldwork involving professional archaeologists, as well as regularly undertaking projects where volunteer participation is a central aspect.  Charitable donations are essential for the HWTMA to continue to preserve the fascinating but fragile maritime archaeology legacy of the Solent, and to engage communities with their local cultural heritage.
